Light, Color, and Composition – Photo 103 (In-Person)

You’ve practiced the core techniques needed to control your camera, now it’s time to refine the artistic components of your photography. In this class, we discuss the finer points of a photograph: color, value, line, shape, form, space, and more. We also introduce you to the concepts of breaking down a photograph and describing what you see! It’s one thing liking/disliking a photo, but an entirely different experience to explain WHY. Following this arts-immersive class, you should be able to:
* Identify and separate the technical and artistic components to a photograph
* Place subject matter and backgrounds decisively to maximize composition
* Describe your photographs and offer constructive critique on others’ work
* Stop worrying so much about gear and focus on the creative side of photography!
