Intro to Street Photography with Jake Olson

The goal of this course is to provide street-curious photographers with the necessary knowledge to take their existing skills and experience and confidently apply them to street photography.

To accomplish this, we will be discussing some basic techniques, as well as some of the reasons why an individual might choose to practice street photography. We’ll be looking at the work of some of the “greats” of the genre, and covering some Do’s & Don’ts to help budding street photographers make the most of their time spent shooting.

After completing the two-hour classroom portion of the course, attendees will be encouraged to head straight out into Columbus alongside myself to exercise what they’ve learned!

Jake Olson is a frequent street photographer roaming his way around Columbus, Ohio. In the last 5 years of documenting people on the streets, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and is ready to share his journey, knowledge, and tips with others, equipping them to go out and do the same.
