Intro to Alternative Processes: Cyanotypes with Mat Marrash

Silver gelatin printing is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to making B&W prints! Alternative photographic processes open up so many creative possibilities, and this class is a primer on one of the most accessible alt processes. During this afternoon workshop, students will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about the different types of alt. processes
• Get hands-on with mixing emulsions and hand-coating papers
• Print a cyanotype from their own B&W photograph

Price of attendance also includes conversion of a digital image on a transparency by Midwest Photo for purposes of creating your own cyanotype image from a digital image.
