Intro to Digital Workflow and RAW Editing with Mat Marrash
Prerequisite: This class is for all skill levels. Photo 101 and 102 are recommended.
Todays digital cameras are better than ever before in history. If you want to take advantage of your camera’s optimum image quality, than shooting in the RAW format is the way to go. But the JPEG’s are great, too. Knowing how and when to use the different file formats is half the battle. This class will help to demystify the digital workflow in the 21st Century, and will introduce basic digital post-processing and file management.
If you are coming from a film photography background, or are new to a digital workflow in general, this class can help.
This class covers:
File types and nomenclature
RAW vs JPEG
Transferring files from camera to computer
Proper file back-ups
Introduction to post-processing
Common post-processing software programs
Why and when to shoot a RAW image vs a JPEG image
