Discuss photo lab quality printers and their differences
Show you how to calibrate your computer screen and apply a profile
Set up a proofing environment on your newly profiled monitor
Demonstrate printer calibration using a colorimeter
Discuss best practices for maintaining your printer
How do I know if this class is the right class for my level of interest and/or expertise?
This is a class designed for those who have already taken Printing 102 or have a solid understanding of printing technical language. We break down the terminology and techniques of printing to better help manifest their art physically.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Bring, at the bare minimim, a file to work with on a laptop or smart device in some fashion. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet from which they often edit photos. If a camera is all you have and you transfer directly to a quick printer, we can work with that too!
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
You may request a refund up to one day before this class. For example, if your class is on a Saturday, you have until the Friday before to ask for a refund. Refunds and/or class credit transfers will not be issued to customers who sign up for a class but fail to attend. Eventbrite's service fee is non-refundable.
What time to arrive/leave for class?
The Midwest Photo Learning Studio is a very busy space booked for events and classes year-round! The studio will open 30 minutes prior to scheduled class time start and close 30 minutes after scheduled class time end.
